We wanted a way to bring blacksmithing to you. So when we were invited to Bicton College in the beautiful Devon countryside to provide blacksmithing courses on behalf of the our good friends at the charity High Ground (which provides land-based opportunities for ex-military personnel), we decided to build a mobile school.

Four side-blast fires are built onto a 10-foot trailer with integrated water-cooling and air feed. The fires stay on the trailer and the anvils are set up to the side of the trailer, giving you plenty of room to work. The fires and working spaces can be covered by our mobile roof in the event of bad weather. The mobile forge was put through its paces by our military colleagues from the High Ground charity.

So you can now book a blacksmithing course which comes to you!

We can accommodate groups of four trainees at a time. All we need to set up is a hard, level surface, a 13-amp electrical supply and access to water to top up our cooling tanks.
