Remembrance Poppy Course 02/11/2024

£195.00
Only 6 available

Spend a full day learning the ancient craft of blacksmithing in the company of a blacksmith with thirty years experience in traditional and modern forgework. Using steel reclaimed from a military vehicle, learn how to forge your first poppy. Then forge as many as you would like in the day. You can scale up or down, put them together in a display or keep them as individual gifts.

As a former soldier, honouring the memory of the fallen is incredibly close to my heart. That’s why we’re offering you a unique opportunity to create your own Act of Remembrance poppy.

All the tools and resources you need will be provided on the day, including metal salvaged from former military vehicles. By using this significant material, we aim to infuse each poppy with a deep sense of meaning and gratitude. Not only will you be creating a tangible symbol of remembrance, but you will also be supporting a worthy cause. A proportion of the course fees will be donated to Highground, a charity we proudly work with. Highground is dedicated to helping the survivors of military service, making a positive impact on their lives.

The course will cater for individuals, pairs and groups. No blacksmithing or military experience is needed, just a willingness to learn and an appetite for challenge and fun.

You will need to bring:

Enthusiasm, a sense of humour, a willingness to learn and some lunch. We will provide the rest!
